After a terrible experience with our last daycare, we knocked on doors looking for a change. The clouds parted, and the sun shone down on us in the form of Alice, the owner of Bright Butterfly. She took us in for a tour and a chat without an appointment. We had hesitated to uproot him from his friends and the only care facility he’d ever known. But it was the right choice. His classroom teacher, Miss Karen, is gentle, easygoing, and kind. The teachers are willing to work with parents and children. My son is allowed to bring special stuffies to school; he hasn’t had accidents and hasn’t been shamed and sent home. They send several pictures to parents each day of the activities they are up to, which include outside time, circle time, art, writing, dance parties, and even French lessons with a guest teacher. Alice hires staff that share her values and gentle style, and the whole place feels like family. We couldn’t be more happy with the change we made. Our son is napping again with Bright Butterfly, which has greatly improved his evening mood. I could not possibly be more grateful for Alice and Karen and their loving approach. It’s made a tremendous difference for our little family. Highly recommend.
